Happy 40th Birthday To Me! Some Things That I Have Learnt</h2>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Its ok to be you! no comparisons are needed we are all living lives according to what suits us and our decisions </li>
<li>I would like to have told the younger me to try not to sweat the small stuff like 'am i fat?' OR ' will he like me?' ' or 'should I cover my Eczema on a sunny day?' it all eventually works out for you, life has your back. Walk with your head held high</li>
<li>Control your diet whilst you are younger its a lot more easy to lose weight, gets harder as you get older! </li>
<li>Keep happy thoughts, they are what will make your habitual habits, so stay optimistic theres always a silver lining in that cloud</li>
<li>Meditation is key to staying calm in life, releases hormones that even lower blood pressure, makes you look at life with a lot more clarity, DO IT.</li>
<li>Start travelling sooner, Its the biggest education that has impacted me! I have learnt so much more about history and cultures than I ever would have just reading it from books. It comes to life when you visit the place! Also try and Get guided tours its much more informative that way!</li>
<li>Save small amounts of money regularly it will all build up and help when theres a need!</li>
<li>Speak up in relationships and don't always show your best foot forward that won't work in your favour at all! show the vulnerabilities it makes more deeper bonds. </li>
<li>Know that death will happen to your loved ones and stop fretting its the circle of life, treasure the people you love and spend precious moments with them</li>
<li>Some relationships just can't be forced let them go! its ok sometimes your paths may cross at a different stage in life or they may not, thats how the universe wants it, we are all passing ships in this thing called life, let some ships go! even if its a family member. </li>
<li>Dont resist life, go with the direction that sometimes life wants to take you, even though it may be a completely different plan you had thought of, its usually the universe telling you it has a better plan!</li>
<li>Get yourself that 30 mins exercise it serves you well once you get past 40</li>
<li>Its never too late to educate yourself and go back to studying don't get overwhelmed by the age barrier it makes no difference it is but a number.</li>
<li>I don't like Chick Flicks and Rom Coms anymore oh yes I much prefer sword fighting or a good old crime thriller, thats a change in me I didn't expect to see, watch out I might just start enjoying Horror films as well!!!!</li>
<li>I enjoy clean eating mostly which I never thought I would, my uni days were take outs most days and I was greedy for food</li>
<li>Its ok to walk away from Toxic friendships even if they were old people in your life. If it doesn't suit you and gets you down, move on.</li>
<li>Try and keep a circle of friends that lift your spirit and are optimistic by nature, this really helps in life, your go to people should always or at least mostly see the silver lining in life, otherwise it zaps you of your upbeat energy</li>
<li>Its also ok to add to your close circle of friends I was set in my ways for years and found myself twiddling my thumbs when I wanted to do something, not anymore I plucked up the courage widened my horizons and have met some lovely people along the way. Who I now can most certainly call my Friends.</li>
<li>Starting a new venture like this Blog or my channel (yet to post more videos) can be daunting mostly because you worry what people will think, well I kicked that right out of the bag and did all this in my late 30's Im living now so I will do all the things that matter to me and more!</li>
<li>Learning to be in the present its a good feel, most of the time we are worrying about yesterday thinking about tomorrow and never really enjoying the present, well I have learnt the art and believe me my present is a lot more sweeter and enjoyable. </li>
<li>Bringing my presence to a friend or person. How annoying is it when you are trying to talk to someone and they seem distracted either with their phone or their mind. Or then whenever you speak they speak over you so your voice just drowns out! well I have learnt to LISTEN and then speak it makes you a good friend considerate, and well conversation flows better and its just being a nicer person when you are really there.</li>
<li>I have finally understood the fine art of socialising I think, its better to ask more pertinent questions to someone show interest in their life they will appreciate that!</li>
<li>Box sets are a great go to when you literally have nothing to do </li>
<li>Walking Dead changed my taste in Tv Programmes now I'm all about blood gore and gripping story lines. </li>
<li>Pick your battles! don't get into a disagreement about everything know when its not worth it, save your energy. Use it more, where its needed.</li>
<li>Don't give a shit about anyones opinions yours is what counts</li>
</ul>

<br />
Who understands having Eczema! I hope whoever reads this knows I'm living with it have it and get it. Its life altering upsetting and well damn right inconvenient. I have had it for most of my life from a child infact. Its been a learning curve for my family the doctors and myself. Finally once you become an adult you get to know your skin and what works for you and what doesn't. Here are a few of my tips that work for me and make living with Eczema more comfortable.<br />
<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Learn a way to not get stressed it won't help when suffering from flare ups</li>
<li>Keep a diary for the foods you eat, will help to eliminate what foods could be a cause of a flare up</li>
<li>Generally rule of thumb avoid sugar and Dairy it will aggravate the itchiness </li>
<li>Don't get yourself too heated, during the cold seasons try and layer up so when you get hot its easier to take a layer off to cool down! jumper materials will get you too hot too quick and the material will itch.</li>
<li>Keep to cottons, wool acrylics will annoy and itch</li>
<li>Try and change your bed sheets often, Eczema sufferers shed a lot more skin than usual especially because we itch, so better to have clean sheets to sleep in</li>
<li>Shower and moisturise always this will clean the skin and add the moisture back in which is very important. </li>
<li>Don't avoid mosituring and yes you do need to lather, delicately applying will not work, it needs to be generous and throughout the day, this will prevent flare ups and you will have less bouts of cracked skin.</li>
<li>When you have cracked skin moisturise before you go running to use steroid I know because I have thinned my skin out a lot due to over usage of them, do everything but that the side effects are more prevalent.</li>
<li>Try alternative medicine especially Chinese Acupuncture or then Ayurvedic it will help more than the allopathic, I guess the theory is that it works more intrinsically </li>
<li>When exercising keep cool at the same time sweating will aggravate the skin, Swimming is a good way of keeping fit and staying cool.</li>
<li>If you need to use perfume, use it on your clothing rather than directly on your skin it will flare up</li>
<li>Deodorant under the arms should be the roll on rather than spray..makes it more comfortable and to be honest works better</li>
<li>When washing dishes ( though try and avoid at all costs) wear gloves the detergent will flare the hands</li>
<li>Speaking of hands washing Hair can be a nightmare too, if you can visit the hair dressers once in awhile to give your hands a rest with that, but I would suggest using gloves.</li>
<li>Not all moisturises will feel the same on your skin so try them all out and see what works, I remember my specialist telling me Petroleum jelly would work well for me as it keeps you a lot more greasy for longer periods, but it would make me feel itchy and uncomfortable cream based products work better but it has to be super creamy and the after effects should not be drying!, Diprobase never worked for me, neither the Aveeno brand made from oats, it all left me feeling dry including Aqueous the very popular cream prescribed to us. E45 hands down wins for me its creamy leaves a soft feel on the skin, and their are many different products you can choose from like shampoo, hand cream, bath oil, bath gel and so on. </li>
<li>Try not to wear tight clothes , they may look good but won't help in anyway, leave jeans for the colder months, stick to flawy material that give your skin space to breathe! skirts Maxi dresses flawy bell bottoms they all look fashionable and work.</li>
<li>Keep yourself happy seems silly?! but when your moral is low the first thing that gets effected will be your skin its the weakest spot, you will tend to think worry and scratch its our nervous twitch, so surround yourself with happy people happy thoughts and don't be apologetic about getting the toxic people out! its your health your skin your well being. Just know who really cares.</li>
<li>Keep yourself active and busy , you will find you itch the most once you get into bed. thats because then your mind is idle and attention goes back to the skin, and then suddenly you will notice you are itchy so keep busy or go to bed when tired, the bed can be a haven for itching unnecessarily. </li>
<li>Breaking the habit of itching is key</li>
<li>Try not to keep long nails won't help and will create infection so short nails are better.</li>
<li>Dont scratch harshly train your mind to rub not harsh scratches that way you are trying to save the skin breaking and leaving open wounds.</li>
</ul>
These are just some of my tips and tricks. I would suggest, joining locals groups as well. This helps in meeting people who understand this kind of a condition and you can share ideas and views plus you can also share whats making you sad and unhappy, remember a problems shared is a problem halved.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Being different is ok. Don't ever forget that. It makes us alot more empathetic and caring in life. We share more compassion with others and never tire in helping others out. Resilience and excelling at life becomes our motto. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If any of you have any questions regarding products for the skin or makeup and want some advice based on me being a chronic Eczema sufferer, then don't hesitate in asking me on any of my social media platforms.</div>

First Bloggers Meet<br />
<br />
Its funny how Blogging can literally open doors you never thought of! I started my blogging journey 2 years ago. the first year I blogged regularly once a week , this year due to my other job I have not uploaded as regularly. (My Url is creamsnocreams.blogspot.co.uk I am a lifestyle blogger which covers anything from Travel, Books, Tv Programmes to Beauty). However its nice to know that Im still in the radar of some bloggers and good to know that I can also get invited to events.<br />
<br />
This event was organised by the lovely @sophieroseblog at the Reading Oracle Shopping Centre. We started off by having lovely nibbles and some drinks and a little bit of mingling.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F42VwvwImYE/WUj2MD0mSDI/AAAAAAAABUw/KARanaU612gPEulgXI5iVMGjvjkTQUfAwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0932.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1129" data-original-width="1600" height="450" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F42VwvwImYE/WUj2MD0mSDI/AAAAAAAABUw/KARanaU612gPEulgXI5iVMGjvjkTQUfAwCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0932.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-O9_MGxaRqUM/WUj2RXMvmwI/AAAAAAAABU0/qCxWXcvEH-waG-XHhKbwP29T0pVEj9ThgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0935.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-O9_MGxaRqUM/WUj2RXMvmwI/AAAAAAAABU0/qCxWXcvEH-waG-XHhKbwP29T0pVEj9ThgCLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0935.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
There must have been a group of at least 10-12 ladies. All running their own blogs different age ranges. Was nice to see everyone supporting each other, it didn't matter how big or small your blog was.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XMg3snq3kU4/WUktiW86BeI/AAAAAAAABVw/GfEjEsag5pQu5ylwr5CXZhv3lgwO2mmVACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0942.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="480" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XMg3snq3kU4/WUktiW86BeI/AAAAAAAABVw/GfEjEsag5pQu5ylwr5CXZhv3lgwO2mmVACLcBGAs/s640/IMG_0942.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
After mingling we were then taken to House of Fraser where Urban Decay were featuring some of their summer collection of Eyeshadows, Contouring, Highlighters. This limited edition Jean Michael Basquiat makeup has a unique packaging, feels like a collectors item, it reflects the designers flare. We had a lovely lady @sophiemccllm representing Urban Decay, she showed us different ways of using this makeup, we were used as her models to showcase the colours. I loved the factor that she was so flamboyant that it automatically inspired you to be more adventurous with colours and style. I was very much interested in the bright neon turquoise blue palette and asked how this could be used she cleverly showed me a way. There was also a neutral palette with golds and browns my favourite and go to at all times. Some other lovely blogger asked how to contour we were also shown little tricks that would enhance this more.<br />
<br />

Can you see the awesome summery colours above! I need to experiment more! The contouring was interesting but felt little complicated for my liking, it was a double sided pallette, on one side powder and the other side cream. Depending on your skin type you could choose the side which suits you better.<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Jean Michael Basquit Gallery Blush Pallette Retail Price £27</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
This palette above is also very pretty again theres a Blusher, Contouring and Highlighter. We were shown to wet the fan brush which then set the colours better on the face! great little tip!<br />
<br />
All in all I thoroughly enjoyed myself! Was a lovely Meetup and that too my first one. Great group of ladies and a fabulous Brand. I love Urban Decay and it was a Privlege to be invited.<br />

<br /></div>
<div>
What happens when you start on a makeup journey?, Its usually means being confused to what colour matches as foundation and getting that completely wrong! wearing a dark lipliner with a light lipstick remember that phase in the 90's. I have long since moved on from this. I think reaching your 40's you finally get the right groove for makeup. Since the ample Youtube videos arrived I have managed to sort of teach myself the right look for when and how to apply, I love that this information is available so easily now! so believe me Im a beauty junkie for sure!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This is where my love for makeup especially foundations came from. My taste and favourites change all the time depending on mood the season and how my skin is feeling. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I have a huge Muji drawer crammed full of foundations small bottles large moisturising colour correcting seasonal things! list goes on! and my current favourites are as follows:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<b>Nars Sheer Glow Foundation</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nQJ8-0JmIaw/WSM5-DhnG5I/AAAAAAAABUM/kNOtU_zrIW0zbQ5aEWxa_h-qis93ISEIACLcB/s1600/IMG_0909.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nQJ8-0JmIaw/WSM5-DhnG5I/AAAAAAAABUM/kNOtU_zrIW0zbQ5aEWxa_h-qis93ISEIACLcB/s640/IMG_0909.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<b><br /></b>
<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Its a long time favourite for many bloggers and rightly so, this foundation is not dependant on seasons or how your skin may feel. Its a lovely thick creamy consistency that glides over your skin, it has a build-able type of consistency which is what I like it makes it much more versatile, lighter during the day and heavier in the evening. Works especially well with dry skin but I can't see it not working for someone with combination skin. Lots of shades to choose from.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue </b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jgf_1cLCHvM/WSM6Gf9912I/AAAAAAAABUQ/jZnGgaxGHjAWQndbSbfRIOJXazt2pLPigCLcB/s1600/IMG_0911.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jgf_1cLCHvM/WSM6Gf9912I/AAAAAAAABUQ/jZnGgaxGHjAWQndbSbfRIOJXazt2pLPigCLcB/s640/IMG_0911.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
Bare Minerals doesn't get the recognition it should . I came across this brand by chance one day and I swear by it for dry skin. This is my go to foundation for the summer. Its dewy, glowy, perfect for a sun kissed look, little concealer bronzer and you are good to go. People don't talk about this foundation enough I wish they would. SPF 30 which is so good for being on holiday. I burn easily so for me good protection is key and at the same time a good coverage so this foundation is by far my holy grail during the hot months. its a light coverage initially but you can build up. </div>
<span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span>
<b>Giorgio Armani Power Fabric</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-07F2JBXJVhk/WSM6QjEobOI/AAAAAAAABUU/FzZYdKwPaeslOwcKI4FfVI7TzTBFN_ORACLcB/s1600/IMG_0913.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-07F2JBXJVhk/WSM6QjEobOI/AAAAAAAABUU/FzZYdKwPaeslOwcKI4FfVI7TzTBFN_ORACLcB/s640/IMG_0913.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<b><br /></b>
<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This is my new foundation, one that I have fallen in love with! I was always meaning to try the Illuminous silk foundation and never got around to it when I went to the counter and told them I preferred a fuller coverage I was pointed in this direction, I certainly can't compare, and one day will try the illumnious silk foundation but for now this Power Fabric is amazing its silky smooth very moisturising and cream like when applied. One pump pretty much gives you a good coverage but if you wish two pumps thats more than enough. Theres no dry residue left its a very flawless finish neither matt or dewy. I think this also can be used for any season and be used for all skin types. SPF 25 which is pretty good.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<b>Mac Matchmaster </b><br />
<b><br /></b>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-M3MKOwv34bU/WSM6Z5MrXfI/AAAAAAAABUY/YcOot9sVyQI5_56vlJdnao6kTT-iaUaHwCLcB/s1600/IMG_0912.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-M3MKOwv34bU/WSM6Z5MrXfI/AAAAAAAABUY/YcOot9sVyQI5_56vlJdnao6kTT-iaUaHwCLcB/s640/IMG_0912.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<b><br /></b>
<br />
<span style="font-weight: normal;">Random purchase just because it was new a few months back and was really very impressed with the feel of the foundation and the coverage slightly lighter but can be built up, though only one issue blends better with a blending sponge rather than a brush seems to leave streaks! You need patience to work this into your skin so a quick application won't work. SPF 15 disappointing for me I wouldn't really take this on holiday especially if like me you are Fair and burn on your face it will not protect you a great deal. </span><br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<b>Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick</b><br />
<b><br /></b>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IYpts06xZlE/WSM67DqnfZI/AAAAAAAABUg/AwbbEnn-OpULlfNIyJUmkQCj7-d0bi6gACLcB/s1600/IMG_0914.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IYpts06xZlE/WSM67DqnfZI/AAAAAAAABUg/AwbbEnn-OpULlfNIyJUmkQCj7-d0bi6gACLcB/s640/IMG_0914.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<b><br /></b>
<br />
<div>
This purchase is perfect for nights out where your pictures need to be flawless. Its a stick with a creamy consistency yellow undertones so suits anyone with red pigmentation in their face. Apply in small amounts directly onto your face, trick is to not to over do it! otherwise starts looking little caky. As long as you get that part right its a perfect coverage for a special night out. Thats how I use it. I have hardly made a dent in it and have had it for over a year now. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Thats pretty much my favourites right now. What foundations are you loving at the moment. Are you like me and change according to season or do you stick to what you love no matter what?</div>
<div>

<br /></div>
<div>
This fair was great for any people who like the 40's/50's/60/s and 80's. I didn't necessarily feel greatly inspired by all the clothes but the Accessorise were great and certainly got my imagination running wild. Hats, Old antique Jewellery fabulous shoes and not to mention the wacky and designer labelled belts fit for a lady with Ostrich sized legs!<br />

Once you have shopped and quenched that need to be fashionable, wander into the lounge of the hotel and enjoy some live jazz music was so much fun great music good vibe loved it! Just a little bit of random Information, the hotel has been built where the courthouse prison was they still have the cells where the Krays brothers ( Eastlondon Gangsters of the 60's) were imprisoned, they have made it a part of the lounge area slightly creepy yes but interesting nonetheless. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>

<br /></div>
<br />
Where has this post come from, triggered from the hype surrounding the Brexit situation. When we did exit the EU I felt sick to my stomach I remember feeling rejected and in some ways Alienated in a country that has always been my home and for once it effected my sleep and my feeling of belonging. You might be thinking why such a dramatic response, well if that kind of plight gets 50% of the vote you wonder how much are the immigrants excepted really across the board.<br />
<br />
Immigrant according to Wikipedia/ Google is - 'A Person Who Comes Permanently To Live In A Foreign Country' . So not to take advantage of the system, not to create problems, or ostracise themselves, rather they want to blend in and make a foreign country their home. Give their children a better opportunity. Lets not forget the family and friends that they have left behind for a better future, it takes a great deal of courage. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I mean I am a daughter of an immigrant my Father left India back in 1961, for a better life, more prosperity, a brighter future, far better choices and options and a more developed and broader way of thinking. He felt these things staying in India were not going to be achievable some may disagree with his decision I know a lot of his family did but he believed that and I can understand why, as he has shared many a story with me over the years over a hot cup of Chai and I listened with awe and admiration that he could be so bold so strong at such a young age. You see living in India and being a part of a family of 10 meant that many expectations were there for you, you needed to educate yourself in the career path they ( family) thought appropriate and if you didn't you would be beaten and not excepted as a family member. The stifling expectations made my father run, some could say he shirked the responsibility of his family but to be honest he always says more kids left the family home the better as it meant if more remained there was more mouths to feed. As sad as that sounds that story vibrates through many households in India during the 50's and 60's. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
When my father came to the UK at age 18 he didn't expect any handouts not at all, what he did like was that basic human dignity was respected in this country, you had rights with Law backing them. If you worked hard the benefits were there. He enjoyed a systematic country where no longer bribery was the way forward and where any job big or small was respected you were not berated for coming from a particular kind of family and doing 'those kind of jobs' which he got a lot of stick for from India. I guess my Father was a free spirit and needed to learn from the school of Life rather than be spoon fed how and what is appropriate. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
When my mother arrived a further 11 years later in 1972, she also did what any other young women would she worked as a team with my father and created a future a life together, they have never stopped working , achieving and progressing they took baby steps and moved forward and sometimes those risks pulled them back a few steps but they never gave up! continued to do the right thing by their family and work. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What impact does that have on the children born to parents from abroad, we are the first generation British Indian kids and remember this is my perspective so I don't want anyone getting offended or think what is she talking about?! its my feelings towards my life being bought up here! and I'm sure some of you will be able to relate to this in some shape or form. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I had the privilege of two worlds rolled into one, that being the Indian world at home and the westernised existence outside, was it confusing?, at times but was it worth it, most definitely! Confusing because certain things were imposed on us due to the parents fear of their children becoming too westernised, now what exactly did that mean?! One can only assume, Pubs, Clubs, Drinking, Smoking Having Sex and god forbid a boyfriend. Also the fear that we would lose touch with our indian culture and what it stands for. So confusing for us growing up was the duality of a life that became second nature. The lies became who we were as there was no way you could get any understanding from them about freedom of choice. We naturally understood the culture from our parents eyes once we stepped outside our homes it was the western ways we mostly could relate to. Oh yes you 20 somethings or even 15 year olds reading this, 20 years ago this was our existence and the freedoms you guys have now have is us having created the path for you!!! stand up and drum roll please!..... come on it was tough in that teenage selfish mind of mine I felt suffocated and annoyed stifled and not to mention hard done by. But talk to the 40 year old me and you realise , it wasn't really any of their faults. They were just trying to make sense of world that was alien to them, too much freedom and choice scared them our Indian society gave us rules and by abiding by them life is a lot more simpler so for them the unadulterated choices were just too much for them to handle. However ask me and I loved it , thrived on it and lived for it.<br />
<br />
I guess you could say we were as in my brother and I in an orthodox family life and it I think was done from fear. For Parents from another country I think their worst nightmare would have been westernised kids, who don't know anything about their culture and in some ways reject it to fit into the country they call home. So temple trips on a Sunday, Hindi classes once a week were a standard norm and you were not asked if thats what you wanted to do it was expected of you! I think it gave the parents a sense of control in a foreign country and in some ways kept us close to home.<br />
<br />
The positives about this are that when we did our annual India visits to see grand parents and cousins, we were not so alien to the language, understood what family ties were and generally got on with it. The drawbacks were adjusting to a chaotic India that as a youngster was difficult to process, but whatever we felt, it was home to my parents. Nonetheless it was a lot of adjustment one required to be able to enjoy the 6 weeks summer holidays in good old Punjab.<br />
<br />
There is so much I have learnt from my ' Immigrant' parents and one thing is hard work ethic and how to build a community support to surround you when you have no family in the UK, oh yes we have no one aside from the nuclear family that we are and our respective partners, all the rest of our aunts and uncles cousins etc are in India or have emigrated to other countries. The biggest challenge I think for us, that are the first generation of 40 and under, we had to try and in some ways to emulate what our parents did and work extra hard to prove to them that all the sacrifices they did for us was worth it. Im not sure if we have succeeded and don't forget that could mean being happy and healthy with your choices, having a family of your own or even doing well in your chosen career path!<br />
<br />
I have to say the up and coming generation now in the UK will never understand us and the things we had to adjust to except and work around, however thats just how it is with the circle of life, one generation carves and creates the path for the next to make free choices and to not have to be so answerable to the Indian culture you are born into. However the strict Indian society conditioning still remains etched in my memory and is hard to shrug off at the best of times.<br />
<br />
I admire my Father making that choice at the age of 18 to leave India, it takes a lot of courage to step into the unknown and for my Mother to join him years later and their continued support for one another and never giving up I salute you and love you deeply for all that you do have done I appreciate no end and like many first generation kids of Immigrant parents we will never truly understand the hard work you had to put into settling and making a new country your new home.<br />
<br />
My teachings from all this are that, you never take anything for granted ever, you work hard for what you want and you dream big because one day those same dreams can become reality! Your seek and thirst for knowledge should never wither keep it alive always and ultimately family above anything else! no Handouts no looking to blame others for your misfortune rather you learn from it and move on.<br />
<br />
So next time you want to judge someone that leaves their home to make another country their home be gentle with your understanding that a lot of people are truly wanting better things for themselves and are wanting to interact and mix in with a community thats not theirs to begin with. How I Keep Faith</h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cwhemrJI7Kk/VyclcQ6QvyI/AAAAAAAABH4/Qp-qFsjXa0Uj6OeLOEogsOQ4mSO8eFA1QCLcB/s1600/faith.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cwhemrJI7Kk/VyclcQ6QvyI/AAAAAAAABH4/Qp-qFsjXa0Uj6OeLOEogsOQ4mSO8eFA1QCLcB/s640/faith.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Faith is an interesting word! for some it may mean religion, god, inner strength and certain beliefs. Its your perception and whatever that is, is right because If thats what motivates you inspires and you and pushes you forward through life's challenges, then its the momentum of faith that has kept you going.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
In this I just wanted to talk about what it means to me and how it helps me through life. Ive always been a firm believer that life is full of miracles and that the way forward is to look forward and not back keep pushing ahead one step in front of the other. The answers lie inside us and faith god is inside us too. Too much lies externally for most of us and I don't believe that is the case, looking within and searching for the answers is what helps me and stops the panic that arises when life can seem like a dark tunnel.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
We all have challenges and let me by no means try and trivialise anyones issues, if its a problem for you then its a challenge you are facing, however I think the void in a lot of us including myself, we forget to be grateful for all that we are blessed with however big or small. I do beleive we all have a purpose here each one of us we just need to ask the universe what that service may be , how can I step aside from my woes and add value to this beautiful world that I temporary live in.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
These are the few questions and discussions I have shared with some special people and I feel rather than follow a certain doctrine , prayers or religion this in itself moves me forward makes me seek knowledge and gives me strength.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Bhmnl_-RpZs/VyclcQuScNI/AAAAAAAABH0/3J025BLmoo8WwdBxp-H32CSkOeUhZJjBwCKgB/s1600/faith-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Bhmnl_-RpZs/VyclcQuScNI/AAAAAAAABH0/3J025BLmoo8WwdBxp-H32CSkOeUhZJjBwCKgB/s640/faith-1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So some of the things that I do to gain strength is to :<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>Meditate- </b><span style="font-weight: normal;">I know the biggest cliche ever, but seriously it works, it doesn't have to be complicated at all! just deep breathing so that your Diaphragm expands in and out honestly the calming effect it has, is next to none, I get a lot of anxiety with certain things in my life and this just puts things in to perspective! firstly the crazy dialogue thats running through your mind quietens down and your breathing slows down and these two things together in tangent just calm your life down...TRY IT. Of course you can also listen to soothing music, you can chant, visualise whatever works with your mind </span><br />
<br />
<b>Affirmations</b>- <span style="font-weight: normal;">I say what I wish to become so if its requiring some healing then I say ' My body knows how to heal itself', 'I love and Approve of Myself' 'The Universe Supports Me ' , all these kind of affirmations are teaching your subconscious dialogue that this is what your mind and body wants and is doing , honestly its like planting a seed the fruition of it may not happen straight away but in time if you persevere you will see the changes, I have tried and tested this and I wouldn't be where I am today If it wasn't for this.</span><br />
<br />
<b>Being Of Service</b>- <span style="font-weight: normal;">How many times have we become obsessed about an issue regarding me myself and I? its a lot more useful to step outside yourself and be of service to the universe, I need to do it more but in the past I have volunteered for years and believe not only was I helping I made friends learned new skills and gained confidence that I too could make a difference to someones life. You can go to a place of worship and help, or befriend an old uncle or aunt that could do with some company have tea and a chat it doesn't have to be big or small just something where you are thinking beyond you and your kids your job your life etc. it makes an enormous difference SO go do it make someone happy! might just help you.</span><br />
<br />
<b>Learn Something New</b>- <span style="font-weight: normal;">How important is it to keep growing I think imperative, its so easy to get complacent and just plod along, but learning something new developing yourself a new skill set is exciting and makes life much more interesting, and I do think it keeps the brain cells ticking as well as diversion and a aversion from things that could be worrying you. Its a trick I use and sometimes It could be as simple as reading a new book and joining a book club, you get talking and learning from each other, try some new seminars go to some talks perhaps learn a language whatever it might be do it for you and enjoy it and bask in the factor that you are learning something new. </span><br />
<br />
<b>Keep Humble-</b> How many times has life gone so well that you start thinking life couldn't get any better! maybe not intentionally but you for sure perhaps lose a little of the humility that is needed at all times in life, I would say keep that in check, Humility I think is the most attractive quality an individual can possess its the only thing that will keep a continued bridge between us all regardless of whats happening in life. So remain humble reach out to others when you think they may need it and if you are doing well in your career family life etc give thanks to the universe and have an intention to make sure you remain walking on the ground always.<br />
<br />
<b>Prioritise Time</b>- Though we may think this life span is long in the bigger scheme of things its not its probably a nano second out in the universe! so make time for things that really matter don't be so attached to the tangible things surrounding you rather create happy memories, spend quality time with family and make sure you give yourself enough time to be and do the things that make you happy too, and I'm not saying shirk your responsibilities, I'm just saying that while you are here leave a mark that will long stay here on earth while you are gone.<br />
<br />
<div>
So these are just some of the things that keep my faith really strong, when life gets troublesome and tough, divert your attention to things that are beyond just you , start with some that I have mentioned only because its tested and it works!<br />

Hope you enjoyed my Mad Hatters Tea Party images at the Sanderson Hotel. It Was A lovely and Unique experience, if you ever get a chance and want to treat yourself then do check it out, The courtyard, water cascading in the background just a very Feng Shui feel! Do ask for a table out in the courtyard and if anyone is vegan or vegetarian they cater for that too, as you could see in one of the platters it was all vegan including the colour of the bread. Its not a cheap day out and for a family of four can cost upto £230! Varying teas are at hand and the theme is so cute, it will take you back to your Alice In Wonderland days! even the menu comes in a hardback book, all the choices of hot beverages come written on small play cards and the best thing is the takeaway left over bag! how sweet is that!<br />
<br />
I have to say afternoon tea for me is my favourite meal to have out. Teas and Scones and sandwiches I just love it! oh how British am I?!<br />
<br />
Do you guys like going for an Afternoon tea?! Do you have a favourite spot?<br />

Short breaks and trips away from the usual routine is so important. It gives you that well earned rest that you so desire and time to reflect on life..</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I did just that with my beautiful folks and chose the fabulous W in Barcelona, I had read some amazing blog reviews on this particular hotel and realised this could give us the best of both worlds the beach at your door step and the city just 10 mins away. Did we get this! absolutely, it was perfect weather! the hotel had a buzz that was brilliant for people watching. The pool deck stole my heart and we spent many hours watching the sea the sun and reading on these fabulous canopy beds! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The flight from LHR to Barcelona only takes around 2 hours, so not far to get that good old Vitamin D that we all so need. It has history, beautiful beaches amazing Architecture and just a great cosmopolitan buzz about it. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Barcelona certainly has something for everyone! if you just want to meander the day then W Barcelona is perfect, you can enjoy half the day at the property and the rest can be spent walking alongside the promenade, walking into the local town Playa Del Mar which has shops, restaurants, cafes, open markets and live Music! its just so surreal and beautiful. W Barcelona! has 26 floors, the upper most floor has a bar with a view that is to die for. On the ground level each pool has superb decking area where there were four poster canopy style beds to relax in, my evenings were spent people watching reading and just taking picture after picture|! you just have to right with a view like that!<br />

Placa Del Cataluyna 10 minutes from W Barcelona (<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">Plaça de la Rosa dels Vents), </span>is the main square in the city and very much like the Regents Street or Oxford Street of London. Designer shops, plush cafes, people chilling with Sangria and Tapas and enjoying the weather and good company! We did a lot of the circling things in a map on foot in search of things! So we managed to find 2 of the very famous Antoni Goudi buildings in the heart of Placa Del Cataluyna, amazing Architect, Casa Batllo is a popular building gets a lot of tourist surrounding it the history behind it is fascinating do go ahead and read about it. Its now open to the public as a museum worth checking out. Antoni Goudis Architect style was very much coloured mosaics, pillars skulls and bones and different ceramics to make the buildings unusual.<br />
<br />
Park Guell is a must see I would suggest if you are looking to go inside then book ahead from the hotel or then online the queues during this peak season were insane. Its mesmerising the whole thing and to think it originally was suggested that this would have been an elite set of apartments for the aristocratic, but that idea didn't work and Antoni Goudi ended up completing and living there himself I think one other family purchased one of the flats and still have it in their family to date. For the purposes of the public they have opened up the Antoni Goudi's house for people to see his architecture abilities and how he lived it is very impressive tall ceilings, long cathedral style windows, unusual furniture all in a rather grande way!<br />

When I'm in Barcelona I love to indulge in their Fresh Garlic Bread either with Olives or sun-blushed tomatoes, Feta Salads and Paellea, its fresh full of simple flavours and just simply mouth watering! Near our hotel the promenade had lots of lovely restaurants that served freshly cooked fish and paella so when in that area do check out the shops running alongside the sea.<br />

Pink Lipstick Collection</h3>
<div>
What can be said about a lady pretty in pink! its the kind of colour thats so playful can suit most women of any skin tone and so much fun can be played with these colours. Depending on the style of makeup also depends on the kind of pink. Some colours can be blue toned, fuscia style or bubblegum type pink! either which way it all works and is fun.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Below are some of my favourite pinks that I have collected over time. I think more than nudes or Reds my most worn colour is pink, its such an easy colour to put on. If you want a summers day dewy look with simple eye makeup then throw on a pink and it looks subtle and feminine. If its an evening wear a bright deep dark pink or an electric blue toned pink would look amazing. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--WQ9CwQCUIc/V0H_-Nl7KvI/AAAAAAAABJ4/Q_UMjFIU3SgFTM1O6cP8YRiezzsBoV4KgCLcB/s1600/IMG_0762.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--WQ9CwQCUIc/V0H_-Nl7KvI/AAAAAAAABJ4/Q_UMjFIU3SgFTM1O6cP8YRiezzsBoV4KgCLcB/s640/IMG_0762.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mp45RltFRPU/V0IAHa06ceI/AAAAAAAABJ8/T69XGtIhdnw3xWLI6sZkthKQHQM5aXcogCLcB/s1600/IMG_0772.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mp45RltFRPU/V0IAHa06ceI/AAAAAAAABJ8/T69XGtIhdnw3xWLI6sZkthKQHQM5aXcogCLcB/s640/IMG_0772.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
The versatility of these colours are great. Formula for each one is unique too. I have to say my all time favourite has to be <b>Pink Plaud By Mac,</b> its a cream sheen formula so hydrating on the lips its so light but bright and goes well in the summer. Its a pretty pink. Would suit all skin tones . A Smokey eye look or a nude eye look with lots of mascara would look lovely with this shade.<br />
<br />
Another one of my favourites has to be<b> Electric Violet by Bobbi Brown,</b> they do the loveliest pinks and this one is bright it has a pop to the colour and stands out! love it for the summer.<br />
<br />
If you are looking for a drug store range then the <b>Max factor lipstick in shade English Rose 510 </b>is just such a summery peachy pink subtle yet very pigmented, very glossy and hydrating .<br />
<br />
Pinks are a great transitional colour to a red! If you are not too comfortable wearing a bright red start with different shades of Pink , it will make life a lot more easier!<br />
<br />

<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VAR8K0ToWPA/V0ggtue-PJI/AAAAAAAABKg/rWJVhW-YlKMr7l-OlqntUzTz1Z5pvk48QCLcB/s1600/IMG_0770.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VAR8K0ToWPA/V0ggtue-PJI/AAAAAAAABKg/rWJVhW-YlKMr7l-OlqntUzTz1Z5pvk48QCLcB/s640/IMG_0770.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XxA9HAqqSAU/V0ggu3r7cHI/AAAAAAAABKo/Zvvct7Nep7A0YgIk7sojP4Oz7h3ea3OrwCLcB/s1600/IMG_0771.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XxA9HAqqSAU/V0ggu3r7cHI/AAAAAAAABKo/Zvvct7Nep7A0YgIk7sojP4Oz7h3ea3OrwCLcB/s640/IMG_0771.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I realised that the love of pink is innate in a Girl and it never changes, I mean remember the Pink Ladies in Grease! So how can you not want to be part of the world of Pink!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TUFzAlJ2AIY/V0ghQmyg6HI/AAAAAAAABKw/F_aikhZRSPQz6sZnocrP2RMPr8RXqfhzwCLcB/s1600/IMG_0769.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TUFzAlJ2AIY/V0ghQmyg6HI/AAAAAAAABKw/F_aikhZRSPQz6sZnocrP2RMPr8RXqfhzwCLcB/s640/IMG_0769.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Pinks work with neutral makeup so a simple all over eye shadow shade plenty of mascara or then with a smokey eye maybe some false lashes and a pop of pink, if the pink is a dark bright electric pink that can be more of a evening shade but if you are wanting this more for the dewy summer days then the light summery breezy pinks are perfect like Mac Pink Plaud or then Max Factor English<br />
Rose!<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Beauty is so enjoyable, indulging in it even more ! whether thats lipstick, blusher bronzer or just eye-shadows it can vary according to the mood. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What about the craze of eyelashes that has just happened in the last 5-7 years! Im sure back in the 80's it would have been frowned upon as in surely thats too much?!, but now the glamorous over dramatic look is the in thing and though like myself we may already have long eyelashes adding a little bit of volume and drama doesn't go a miss! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The problem I always found was, first the art of sticking the eyelashes on without it looking like I literally have double eyelashes and wonky at that! it was finding the right style to look flattering but not over the top and for them lastly to be comfortable, you should be able to wear them through the night and forget you have them on! I just couldn't get the formula right. Until I started following Hudabeauty <a href="http://hudabeauty.com/">HudaBeauty.com</a> and realised her eyelashes look beautiful and she seemed so comfortable, I thought lets try these! now I know for some, the drugstore range work and are affordable but they didn't for me and if like me you are looking to invest in one or two pairs that you will use once in awhile then paying the 12-15 pounds per pair will be reasonable for you.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Hudabeauty sell their eyelash range online at Cult beauty and their are a number of styles you could indulge in the two that I chose to buy were the Samantha and Giselle style, and boy do I love them! I did go on recommendation from them! and I believe Huda herself likes the Samantha or Giselle they come in this beautiful packaging which is so glamorous , easy to keep the eyelashes stored after use, just to let you know that the adhesive glue is not supplied and I bought the Hypoallergenic from Boots due to my Eczema being sensitive around my eyes and it works great!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YkEdQgf9WAw/Vztkyn6ycUI/AAAAAAAABJg/lC2LgV_NbdcIHcnnsiEEtBZW5xgdC1QvACKgB/s1600/IMG_0742.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YkEdQgf9WAw/Vztkyn6ycUI/AAAAAAAABJg/lC2LgV_NbdcIHcnnsiEEtBZW5xgdC1QvACKgB/s640/IMG_0742.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The eyelashes are so light weight they literally mould with your own lashes and feel so natural. Each style is different.<br />
<br />
<h4>
Samantha HudaBeauty Eyelashes</h4>
</div>
<div>
So light and fluttery they have the dramatic look without being too over the top they start off short and get longer near the ends I just love them such a understated yet fuller look, it gives volume and definition to already long eyelashes and if yours a slightly shorter then will add a glamorous wow factor and a all ready dramatic look.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JEw5vk9cJSE/VztktwT12xI/AAAAAAAABJg/RGeNsqk2XXMD0IVUExUS3W0Fjn9eo_ASwCKgB/s1600/IMG_0755.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JEw5vk9cJSE/VztktwT12xI/AAAAAAAABJg/RGeNsqk2XXMD0IVUExUS3W0Fjn9eo_ASwCKgB/s640/IMG_0755.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
As said before easy to apply sets perfectly and you will not even feel that the lashes are on your eyes, so the comfort level is brilliant, which is what sold me with these lashes and obviously the beauty of them too.<br />
<br />
<h4>
<b>Gisele HudaBeauty Eyelashes</b></h4>
<span style="font-weight: normal;">Heavy and over dramatic are these lashes! really nice for a night out or dinner, then again if you can work it any of these eyelashes can be worn during the day, you just have to have the confidence! More of a all over fluttery criss-cross effect along the eye, so an even look across the eyelid! I know that Huda of Huda beauty loves these 2 lashes and thats why I thought well lets try them. This will most certainly give your eye a fuller wider look.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-K_0kAXQ6ZmI/VztlGt4fRGI/AAAAAAAABJo/SlMb0T3i0GMOBG0ZVO6ROpKEvBWT3sjggCKgB/s1600/IMG_0752.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-K_0kAXQ6ZmI/VztlGt4fRGI/AAAAAAAABJo/SlMb0T3i0GMOBG0ZVO6ROpKEvBWT3sjggCKgB/s640/IMG_0752.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />

<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2bwBi8u0BKY/Vztk5XhLfxI/AAAAAAAABJo/TuVWc4PVmtIVg_Q4o4qUuDrfRVlPh-NXwCKgB/s1600/IMG_0743.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2bwBi8u0BKY/Vztk5XhLfxI/AAAAAAAABJo/TuVWc4PVmtIVg_Q4o4qUuDrfRVlPh-NXwCKgB/s640/IMG_0743.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Little mention of the packaging comes in a really durable black box, with the eyelashes attached to the white plastic casing, works really well in keeping the eyelashes preserved, just take them off and set them back on that and back in the box, that way they keep their shape and stay clean. I feel these lashes could be used at least more than 10 times provided you are only using them for short evenings out. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I bought them from cult beauty retailed at £12-15 per box, definitely worth because of the comfort and durability. Go try them.</div>

<br />
<br />
Ok I know this palette has been out for donkeys years and yes I have wanted to buy it, but never got the chance or the opportunity. So this blog post is for the people who like me convince themselves that its ok to not own a Urban Decay Naked Palette 1, no way you are missing out!<br />
<br />
I have only had this palette for 3 weeks and I am so very much in love with it! there are some neutral shades some crease mat shades and some glittery shades something for everyone with all skin tones and types!<br />
<br />
The packaging is so cute, I know a few years back it was a solid case, this palette has a velvet covering! so sheek lucky me!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ReVRNb4I_yY/VxzHIalyJiI/AAAAAAAABHU/Gxv0AmhiihUe31bJLu1EJGCzGiWgHFVfQCKgB/s1600/IMG_0720.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ReVRNb4I_yY/VxzHIalyJiI/AAAAAAAABHU/Gxv0AmhiihUe31bJLu1EJGCzGiWgHFVfQCKgB/s640/IMG_0720.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-byLo1ewQ8MI/VxzG_YQwTGI/AAAAAAAABGw/OLO93FTR_W4SEGTCA0TvcSrcR3nEr3ayQCLcB/s1600/IMG_0717.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-byLo1ewQ8MI/VxzG_YQwTGI/AAAAAAAABGw/OLO93FTR_W4SEGTCA0TvcSrcR3nEr3ayQCLcB/s640/IMG_0717.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The shades are made up of 12 colours and start off with the lightest and move onto the darkest! theres are some neutral shades and some blending colours .<br />
<br />
The neutral colours that are my favourite have to be Half Baked, Buck and Darkhorse, they are all shades of brown and work well as an all over colour or as a crease colour. The shade Virgin works great in the inner duct of the eye it opens the eye up more and gives a 70's look . Sin, Sidecar and Toasted are lovely as all over colours and to finish the look add half baked in the crease and smoke it out or then dark horse, remember both these colours work well in the crease.<br />
<br />
Another look that works well for evenings is half baked across the eyelid with Hustle or Smog in the mid eye and in the outer corner where the smokey effect will take place you can add Creep or the colour next to it.<br />
<br />
The one good thing about this palette is that you don't have to make it too complicated, if you just want to add an all over colour on the eyelid with lots of mascara that does the trick too, you don't have to be a professional to know what to do with the colour remember a lighter shade all over and a matt brown in the crease and you already have a simple look right there!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9ue9LnAmZN4/VxzHP478P8I/AAAAAAAABHU/_pSF6uExhJg1WLLZIlBzs14LHgtfOir-QCKgB/s1600/IMG_0721.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9ue9LnAmZN4/VxzHP478P8I/AAAAAAAABHU/_pSF6uExhJg1WLLZIlBzs14LHgtfOir-QCKgB/s640/IMG_0721.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rkxzaVe17yQ/VxzHRwro0NI/AAAAAAAABHU/jOo6PSTrzccV4u8YgU9OO7egiFrGWitOACKgB/s1600/IMG_0722.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rkxzaVe17yQ/VxzHRwro0NI/AAAAAAAABHU/jOo6PSTrzccV4u8YgU9OO7egiFrGWitOACKgB/s640/IMG_0722.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
So you see there are so many looks that can be done with this palette and the versatility with this is next to none! Easy to carry, great for travel this one palette covers all the shades needed.<br />
<br />
This retails at £38.50 but I think its well worth the price! lots of colours and long lasting! Urban Decay do orders online delivery is free so go take a look, I'm not sponsored by them! just some information for you all. Which palette do you have? and what type of looks have you done that could inspire me too?!<br />

Miu Miu Sunglasses</h3>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V0aVnNqiD18/VxtPz4QfgSI/AAAAAAAABFc/C6GYKhsennU6GVyXGP7NTWgRifMI9-_TQCLcB/s1600/IMG_0708.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-V0aVnNqiD18/VxtPz4QfgSI/AAAAAAAABFc/C6GYKhsennU6GVyXGP7NTWgRifMI9-_TQCLcB/s640/IMG_0708.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I have a designer sun glasses fetish I guess and every 2 years justify it to myself that now is the time to get another pair. So for this summer I have invested in my first pair of Miu Miu sunglasses, I saw this trend a few months back and loved it, I like the cut off part of the glasses which is the part that sits at the end of your nose, doesn't it look super chic?</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Little FYI sunglasses may look super cool on others but its really important to try on lots of pairs and see what frame and style suits the shape of your face, this particular pair also come in a small frame which I tried on and it didn't suit my round oval shaped face! so the lady kindly suggested the bigger frame! which looked much better on me!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The Sunglasses are 98 per cent UV light protected which is super good, if you want designer glasses make sure you check the UV protection because that is ultimately very important! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The glasses sit very comfortably I wouldn't say that your nose or ears get any particular discomfort, I know because I have a few pairs and its important you are comfortable. The colour of the shades and the frame and the peripheral vision should be clear . These are super comfy and good coverage around the eye, I did think the cut off part of the glasses could potentially be uncomfortable on the nose! but it actually ended up being perfectly fine.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What makes them so even more special is the packaging . Those of you who don't know Miu Miu is actually the granddaughter of Prada, so she has the girly vibe on fleek! the packaging stole my heart and I have to show you just how special it is and worth the price.</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What you actually get is a large pink box that holds the glasses case and within that is another sort of soft pouch which holds the glasses so 3 holders in all . All beautiful and pink. What I love about the large pink box is the gold pattern detailing inside the box its so elegant and chic, the pattern is rather regal looking and good enough as a wall paper even! the pink glasses case is in velvet so feels a lot more plush and the pouch is just so easy to use and durable, good thing its all very girly and fun. What do you think? I love the idea of a super fun case, Miu Miu the brand have got the glasses perfect but have also given the casing a lot of thought which makes the whole experience of buying the glasses a lot more special!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The sunglasses are £191 I purchased them from House of Fraser, though you can get them from a concession store of Miu Miu in Selfridges and Sunglasses Hut on Oxford Street, I would say though sometimes you can get online deals with these but be careful if you order through the post they can sometimes arrive scratched which will be a huge disappointment .</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What do you like to indulge in, what is the one thing that you justify its ok to splurge once in awhile?! I know for a lot of women its Handbags, I'm after a Stella MCartney Bag one day I might just go there, until now I'm Happy with this pair of sunglasses.</div>

Its been awhile since I had travelled anywhere or even taken a break and decided taking a long flight wasn't an option, so where else could I possibly go that gave me that feeling of going away?!... </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
People In England forget we have 2 lovely Channel Islands very close to us Guernsey and Jersey, around a 45 minute flight from London . Jersey is run separate from England as in their laws and taxes and working days are different run by a governor appointed by the Queen, yet still independent enough to be separate and make their own rules up. Its such a beautiful Idyllic pristine place, small population of around 81,000 and 28,00 in St Hellier where we stayed. </div>

A Strong influence of France because Brittany and Normandy is not too far a lot of early Immigration came from there. Germany ruled during the 1930's, independence was granted during the 1940's, so much history and preserved so well. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The property we stayed at was the Raddison Blu Waterfront <a href="http://www.raddisonblu.com/Jersey">www.raddisonblu.com/Jersey</a> which was made on reclaimed Land from the sea! its so beautiful to wake up to the sea and the marina, quiet clean air, being less populated means its very much like a untouched piece of Land, I loved the fact that we could wake up and just sit and be, hearing the quietness of the sea and the slight breeze, I could feel myself slowing down and relaxing .</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Our choice was St Hellier though there are other areas where you can stay too like St Aubins which is much more cosmopolitan with restaurants cafes and bars open till late , but we deliberately chose a sleepy town like St Hellier so that we could literally go back in time and relax snooze and eat! and boy did we do all of the above! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
From the hotel , the town centre is literally a stone throw away max 10 minute walk small shops intricate roads very quaint, we had our regular spot for lunch which was a lovely open square cafe offering warm baguettes so scrumptious!, yum and the first few days we actually had sunshine so just to eat and bask in the glory of the sun and talk and do nothing was super! </div>

Note to anyone going and staying in this town, restaurants shut kitchen by 10pm and mostly are busy during the period of 7-9.30pm weekends are fully booked few weeks upfront but if you coax the managers they do fit you in! </div>

<h4>
Restaurants We Ate At:</h4>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Wildfire</li>
<li>The Square</li>
<li>Zephyr</li>
<li>Waterfront Restaurant</li>
<li>Jaipur Palace</li>
</ul>
<div>
All of the above restaurants were lovely and held their own unique taste and style. I would say Wildfire was my favourite, great ambience lovely Camembert served with a generous salad and dough sticks and amazing desert which was a chocolate fondue with your own choice of dips we chose strawberries course that has to be done! shortbread biscuit and fudge yeah we are on a diet now! </div>

I would say that travelling to the channel Islands is a must, you can't not , they have their own money but with the Queen as the sovereign the beaches are sandy and beautiful not very commercialised worth seeing if you don't want to go too far! I would say it is so very much a family friendly place too, very safe with lots to do. </div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
We all date at some point or another! whether its an introduction through a friend or meeting someone at a party or event. 21st Century has also now included the online dating as a happening thing or maybe a saturated perspective i don't know, but all i know is that dating is a natural human need the opposite sex needs to meet socialise and attend to their affection and animalistic needs.<br />
<br />
So how on earth in this busy life and schedules that people have do we meet , some do it through work, some through friends and lets be real some through online sites. People do have a negative opinion about online dating saying its not safe people don't tell the truth, and yes it varies from site to site and person to person, things have been used and abused , but you will find some sites will take things a little more seriously and vet people that become members.<br />
<br />
You might thinking ok you have a lot of knowledge about this all! course I was on this bandwagon for a while, finding someone in your mid 30's is not an easy feat, you have the age against you the biological clock ticking and generally you have the younger butterflies flapping close by , just a little bit of a FYI this is not what I felt I have always loved myself enough to know destiny and life goes the way its meant to don't fight it rather roll with it and make the best out of situations If lemons are thrown at me I'm defiantly the girl who makes lemonade! so dating was a nightmare but so much fun too, I learnt oodles about myself and how resilitant I could be!<br />
<br />
So I wanted to share my tips and tricks that I learnt while going through this circus of dating men, and ways to make it less painful!<br />
<br />
<h3>
Heres 10 Tips To Dating</h3>
</div>
<div>
<ol>
<li>Don't always assume Dinner is the first meet! why does it have to be the awkward long dinner that involves a starter main desert and coffee, phew! come on , on a first date you need to keep it short and sweet, if theres meant to be another date there will be! that you need to make sure when you are on the first date . A coffee or quick drink is suffice! its a good way to know whether theres potential to meet again and not too drawn out that you are calling a girlfriend in the ladies saying get me out of this!. </li>
<li>Keep the 3rd or 4th date (if its gone to that stage) an activity! for that I mean cinema day out or a walk, picnic, musuems , spa day something where its not as intense as just talking where you can find a common ground to do something makes it fun and you could to see the lighthearted side of the other person.</li>
<li>Be present, how many times have you gone on a date and the person seems non interested in anything you have to say! can be really annoying . Bring your presence to a date, nowadays thats precious no phone out nothing learn to listen and ask questions the other person will genuinely appreciate that and I just think its respectful.</li>
<li>Go with an open mind, jokes apart! honestly you need to know just as much its taken a lot for you to come out its taken a lot for that other person to make the effort so be personable and open to meeting a new person, every person has a story to tell and something to share so respect it and meet with a smile.</li>
<li>Dress casual, keep makeup if a girl at a more everyday look its more attractive nude colours during the day is better. Jeans are fine to wear dress it up with a top and heels and leather jacket, if you end up with a evening date, otherwise ankle boots top and denim jacket is good too. Don't do the dresses until the 4th or 5th date where its an evening dinner. </li>
<li>Be yourself, don't try and be something you assume the opposite person wants you to be, how long will you be able to keep that up, yes put your best foot forward as in manners , polite , keen interest in whats being said but other than that be you, theres nothing more attractive than being exactly what the real you is, no frills no farce, being comfortable in your own skin is key that way you will attract the right kind of guy in your life.</li>
<li>Be on time, last thing you want to do is sit there waiting for someone on a first date! 10 minutes due to parking is ok, not anymore than that! Respect each others time!</li>
<li>When you meet for the first time, though it doesn't need to be too deep still ask things that are important to you , its a good way to gage whether theres a chance of meeting again, and remember just like for you the other person is also deciding whether this is right for them so grow a thicker skin and be prepared you may get a no too, its fine tomorrow another day one person loss is someones gain!</li>
<li>Offer to pay! shows a sign of independence, it is nice if the guy treats you! but its also lovely in the 21st century if you offer to pay too, so get up and do it! </li>
<li>At the end of the first date, make sure you keep something pending so that theres a reason to ask for the persons number or ask them if they want to watch that movie that you suggested, keep it pending so that another date can be put in the diary!</li>
</ol>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4oCHqNX_7tI/VqoqID2BheI/AAAAAAAAA_M/Yu3IjyojsYs/s1600/social-network-dating-icon.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4oCHqNX_7tI/VqoqID2BheI/AAAAAAAAA_M/Yu3IjyojsYs/s640/social-network-dating-icon.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>

I think aside from lipsticks my other makeup addiction is for sure foundations. I love reading up on them or then watching reviews on youtube. Its something that changes the look of a women completely when worn! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Its the flawless look and the glow it quite literally gives you if you get the shade right the consistency spot on, you have a photoshop look right there. Last year I found myself in a rut with Mac foundation the usual go to or then Nars sheer glow and drugstore bought Wake Me Up from Rimmel! So this year I thought I would change it up a bit and try some new foundations, either with recommendations or then by going to the counter and asking questions and getting them to shade me up.</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Little story with this! walked to the counter in Selfridges looking for the lipstick Red Carpet and ended up looking at foundations and talking to a lady at the counter getting coaxed into trying it on and was literally impressed enough to do an impulse buy. Its a new foundation that came in last year very similar to the Estee Lauder Double Wear! Its a super light runny consistency , I would say a good coverage as it can be built up and has a long durability too. All in all well worth the mone. If you are wanting a light coverage then one pump or two is sufficient to give that glow and a moisturising look but if you looking for more of a heavy coverage then 3/4 pumps covers all blemishes! I like the fact its build-able and leaves you with a glow rather than a caked mat look. Small bottle costs £29.50 . Its a spatula style applicator so enough product can be used at a time. Very hydrating too.</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This foundation has been around for years and is very much a favourite to a lot of ladies of different age groups. So I was a little late coming around to trying it but better late than never! Its a lovely consistency really creamy and thick, coverage is full so one finger full is more than enough for you to get a super coverage that hides all marks in full! its not runny at all so the thicker based consistency works wonders to feel like you are getting your moneys worth! Its a matt finish but you don't feel dehydrated with that look because the creamy foundation makes you feel like you are applying a thick cream to your face yet at the same time you are getting a lovely flawless matt finish. I now know why so many women have raved about this foundation for years! There is no applicator to this, you just have to tip some out onto your hand warm it up and then apply with a blender or then fingers. Overall I'm really loving using this! and I think this bottle will last me awhile . Durability of this is the whole day doesn't come off easily you don't need to keep re-applying this again and again! Cost of this is £25.99</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So this is my review of this months 2 foundations which I have tried. Whats your favourite makeup and how often do you go out and try new brands or do you stick to the same and prefer to be a creature of habit ? Let me know in the comments below I love them honestly</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Romance , some say Valentine is so over rated and that love should be shown everyday and for that I completely agree! but being pampered once in awhile from ones hectic work schedule and to just take a break with your loved one can be such a treat! This time Mr and I decided not to go abroad and just go explore London, with so many historical properties around its good to look around the city thats home to me and stop getting my passport out at every given opportunity !</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So here we are I love the Taj properties overall, its the hospitality of the chain that blows me away, you really are treated like royalty and to have a home from home is so inviting and comfortable who would say no. We have stayed in Taj properties all over India and I have to say so far nothing could be compared to the service we received there, however I can now say that 51 Buckingham Suites Taj is very much in for the running . I was pampered no doubt! Doors being opened, a smile and a good morning even room service! was for the regal only lol Menu! on a tray. Bed made morning afternoon and evening , turndown meant chocolates left on the bed lights turned down new water ready for bed, I could get used this no making the bed scenario! <a href="http://www.taj51buckinghamgate.co.uk/">www.taj51buckinghamgate.co.uk</a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Each room had perfectly thought about interior in the living room it was pink themed the painting was pink with the cushions on the sofa rest was more neutral . Cosy but modern feel to it. Kitchen had all integrated appliances! Nespresso coffee machine with capsules extra points there! milk in the fridge more points!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

We spent a good long weekend there, had a few friends over and family. It was a large suite with a living room, kitchen, Bedroom and bathroom. Butler service was at our disposal and it had a rather regal feel to it all. Now anyone that knows me if its history associated with the building I need to know what the building was before and this particular building is of the early 17th century these townhouse initially were for orphanages it went onto become a hospital in the 18th century and then a home for the aristocrats . You can just tell with the brickwork the old grandeur style tall impressive buildings that this was certainly an important building! theres also a courtyard where you can only but imagine ladies and gentleman enjoying their afternoon tea there! . Only in the early 19th century did this become a hotel. Such super history . when you walk into the lobby you can imagine the whole thing being a large dining area where they must have entertained, I just love being part of history! <a href="http://www.taj51buckinghamgate.co.uk/">www.taj51buckinghamgate.co.uk</a><br />

<br /></div>
<div>
Two restaurants attached to the hotel both giving michellin starred food every morsel just melts in your mouth . The cuisine is Indian and European, unique deserts and just yummy food all around. There is also a Wellness spa included however though a part of the suites it also runs independently so anyone can go to visit this spa and YOU should it is so relaxing! each masseuse has their own technique in revitalising you and energising the body! super relaxing they cater to each individual needs. <a href="http://www.taj51buckinghamgate.co.uk/">www.taj51buckinghamgate.co.uk</a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The property's location is centrally located walking distance from Buckingham Palace! Hyde Park Corner and Park Lane! so it was lovely taking a stroll enjoying being a tourist and seeing how much London is so loved . We just missed the changing of the guards but still enjoyed the parade, I forgot how much fun it can be!<br />
<br />
So I just want to say those living just outside London, go into central we have so much history and beauty right at our door step I don't think even if we are born and bought up here we will have seen everything! theres still so much to see and explore! step into the history of England. We are lucky to be a part of it.<br />
<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
What girl doesn't get excited about jewellery! now it doesn't have to be diamonds only it can be interestingly designed fashionable and on trend pieces too. This is exactly what this jewellery brand is and thanks to <a href="http://www.amelialiana.com/">www.amelialiana.com</a>, her videos show such interesting pieces that I just had to investigate further. Intricate well designed necklaces, brackets, rings, and other things, its a brand that will at some point become known amonst many people, I'm just surprised I've just figured it out now!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The two pieces that I have purchased are the necklace and the bracelet. I love the saying on both pendants, 'What Goes Around' can only imagine this is referring to the karmic thoughts that most of us live by: 'what you do so shall you reap'.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The necklace is just so elegant and fine , it has a long gold chain which then ends with a chain and a pendant attached to that which says What Goes Around, I Love it!, just so pretty with a plain top, it would even look quite pretty with ethnic wear like a plain sari. I love the factor that you can dress this up or down! You have a choice out of silver or gold I personally feel both work well , gold for some reason more. Reminds me a little of the Egyptian Era I would have imagined them to wear something like this! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
My other purchase was this bracelet with blue rope tie around . Just so Boho but with an element of chic the pendant and the clip are gold plated, just adds that certain class that makes it unique. They have the rope tie in many different colours. Orange, neon pink, black, white and many more, I just thought Blue is little universal and would go with most outfits.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NunPGXqMYlQ/Vr3RUJl7N_I/AAAAAAAABBA/YFL-YxOsygA/s1600/IMG_0655.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NunPGXqMYlQ/Vr3RUJl7N_I/AAAAAAAABBA/YFL-YxOsygA/s640/IMG_0655.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
By Alona have so much choice and unique pieces, I think anyone who likes to wear jewellery with a slight twist should check them out! Braceletts, body chains, pretty necklaces rings hand ring and bracelet list goes on . Its gothic and pretty at the same time. <a href="http://www.byalona.com/">www.byalona.com</a><br />
<br />
I like to share new things I have discovered so that you guys can also find out about different brands and choices out there! Hope you have enjoyed this.<br />
